Worlds Largest Lesson
All Teachers and Students in St Mac Dara’s took part in the school’s first ever World’s Largest Lesson on the 28th of November. This involved all Teachers showing a video about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals before inviting all students to discuss the video and participate in a number of activities based around the issues raised.
Both Staff and Students were positive about the lesson, enjoying the opportunity to discuss global issues which impact their daily lives.
The World’s Largest Lesson is an initiative to teach young people about the Sustainable Development Goals and to encourage cross-curricular involvement.
The lesson was designed by the Global Citizenship Education committee in the school and their activities are funded by a grant from World Wise Global Schools.
