School Opening Plan

We are looking forward to welcoming our students back to St Mac Dara’s Community College at the end of August. We are very conscious that it will be almost six months since students have been in school and it has been an unprecedented time for us all. Significant time and effort has been put into ensuring that our school will open in the safest way possible. Parents/Guardians will have received information via email regarding our Response Plan. This provides detailed information relating to the many changes that students will experience on their return to school. We would ask all parents and students to familiarise themselves with the plan. Management and Covid 19 Response Teams will continue to evaluate this response plan on a regular basis.

St Mac Dara’s will reopen for students from Wednesday 26th August 2020. Details for all year groups can be found below.

First Years                   11.00 –  13.00

Thursday   27th August

Sixth Years              09.00 – 11.00

Second Years          11.15 – 13.00

Friday   28th August

Third Years                 11.00 -13.00

Fourth / Fifth Years   13.00 – 15.30

Monday 31st August 

Classes for 6th Years / 1st Years 08.40 – 12.20

Tues 1st September                    

Classes for 6th Years / 1st Years / 3rd Years. Normal School Day.

Wednesday 2nd September             

Classes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd. 5th and 6th Years. Normal School Day. 

Thursday 3rd September 

Classes for all Years. Normal School Day

Please note that due to Health and Safety regulations the use of lockers is not permitted and students must empty their lockers on their first day back.
