A group of camogie players from St Mac Dara’s travelled to DCU to compete in the annual blitz day. The blitz is held in order to form alliances early and to show prospective students the sports facilities and dedication to sport at the university. Three Kilkenny teams outshone the Dublin teams on the day showing their css and style in abundance. St Mac Dara’s came out on top of the Dublin League, winning gold in the Shield final. A trophy and medals were presented to team captain Abi Nugent. Abi was joined by Jane Douglas, Cara Russell, Niamh Gannon, Tara Keegan, Eve Keegan, Niamh Doherty and Roisin Connolly. A great day was had by all. Well done girls.
