Hurling in St. MacDara’s has gone from strength to strength in recent years with teams representing the school enjoying success at all levels and a marked increase in participation among Junior Cycle students. The well-being of hurling in the school was recently recognised by the Friends of Dublin Hurling who named St. MacDara’s as School of the Year.

In addition to the success of our teams, we are very proud of the numerous players from the college who are chosen to represent Dublin teams at various age-groups. Despite this, the emphasis remains firmly on participation with over sixty players representing four teams: First Years, U14, U16 and U18. Training for 2018/19 season is under way, with training typically taking place after school on a Monday.
