Reducing Single Use Plastic

As of the 31st of March 2019 the Irish Government are declaring war on single use plastics. They will no longer purchase single use plastic for DEIS schools that they fund. They are also encouraging all schools around the country to reduce their use of single use plastic. St Mac Dara’s will be fully participating in this initiative and also encouraging its students to purchase a reusable water bottle. 

Please click here for more information on this initiative which is being led by Minister for Communications Richard Bruton. The campaign begins with a total ban of single use plastics across Government Department’s, state agencies, hospitals, and schools.
