Thank you to TY students Chris Thomas and Uainin Lindsey for providing the following report from the TY Visit to the Green Schools Expo.
“On Thursday the 22nd of February, our TY class went to the Green Schools expo, which was taking place in the RDS. When we arrived, we saw a vast array of environmental topics divided into large workspaces. In each area, there was a wall full of information, a hands on area to physically explore the problems with people, who were more than happy to share their knowledge with us. The areas included topics like marine-littering and electricity usage, which had some very shocking statistics. Every 15 minutes there was a talk from a number of people from around Ireland to discuss environmental protection and how we all have a part to play”.
